Introduction to Multipliers
Multipliers increase the XP members earn from specific roles, channels, or your whole server.
Use multipliers to reward certain members or to encourage activity in specific parts of your server.
How Multipliers Work
Manage multipliers with /multiplier set, /multiplier list, and /multiplier clear. These commands require the Manage Server permission.
- Role Multipliers: Extra XP for members with a specific role.
- Channel Multipliers: Extra XP for activity in a specific channel.
- Server Multiplier: A multiplier applied to all XP earned in the server.
- Duration: Add a length, such as
1hor3d, to/multiplier setto make a multiplier temporary. Leave it out for a multiplier that does not expire.
A temporary multiplier that lasts longer than 24 hours requires Server Premium.
Multipliers apply to XP from messages, voice activity, and reactions.
How Multipliers Combine
Role, channel, and server multipliers multiply together. They do not add. For example, a member with a 2x role multiplier, active in a channel with a 2x channel multiplier, on a server with a 2x server multiplier, earns 8x XP (2 × 2 × 2).
Each channel or role can hold only one multiplier value at a time. Setting a new multiplier for the same channel or role replaces the old one.
Examples
- Give your top leaderboard members extra XP with a role multiplier.
- Encourage activity in a specific channel with a channel multiplier.
- Apply a temporary server multiplier during an event.
