Learn about Kiai's leaderboard feature

Leaderboards

Regular Leaderboards

Run /leaderboard [type] [time] to view a leaderboard for your server.

  • type: XP and Levels (default), Messages Sent, Voice Minutes, or XP Streaks.
  • time: The time period the leaderboard covers. Defaults to all time.

A leaderboard does not update on its own. Run the command again to see current standings.

On an XP leaderboard, a member who has reached the level cap shows (Max) next to their level instead of a level number past the cap.

XP Streak leaderboards are only available for the all-time period.

Weekly and monthly leaderboards are a gradually-rolled-out feature. If the time option does not offer a weekly or monthly period in your server, either the feature has not reached your server yet, or your server admin has not turned it on in /settings > Time Leaderboards.

Automatically Updating Leaderboards

An auto-leaderboard is a leaderboard message that Kiai keeps up to date on its own, refreshing about once a minute.

  • /auto-leaderboard create <channel> <type> [time] [description] — Creates an auto-leaderboard in a channel. description adds up to 800 characters of text above the leaderboard.
  • /auto-leaderboard delete <leaderboard> — Deletes an existing auto-leaderboard.

Both commands require the Manage Server permission.

Creating an auto-leaderboard requires Server Premium.

Leaderboard Position Roles

Leaderboard position roles differ from leveling rewards. Kiai grants and removes them automatically based on a member's live rank on the leaderboard, not their level, and re-checks them every time a member's XP changes.

Manage leaderboard position roles with /leaderboard-roles add, /leaderboard-roles remove, /leaderboard-roles list, and /leaderboard-roles sync. These commands require the Manage Server permission.

  • /leaderboard-roles add <role> <position> [time] — Assigns a role to a leaderboard position. position can be First, Second, Third, "First through Third," or "First through Fifth." time can be All, This Week, or This Month, and defaults to All.
  • /leaderboard-roles remove <reward> — Removes a leaderboard position role.
  • /leaderboard-roles list — Lists every leaderboard position role.
  • /leaderboard-roles sync — Re-checks and re-applies every leaderboard position role.

Kiai's own role must sit above the role you want to assign in your server's role list, and Kiai needs the Manage Roles permission to run /leaderboard-roles sync.

Each role can be assigned to only one leaderboard position.
