Learn how Kiai logs XP and server activity.

Logging

Configure logging in /settings > Logging Channels. Each log type below can be sent to up to 10 channels at once.

Message XP

Logs when a member receives XP for sending a message.

  • Includes the member and XP gained.

Example: User123 earned 12 XP for sending a message in #general.


Voice XP

Logs when a member receives XP from voice activity.

  • Includes the member and XP gained.

Example: User123 earned 20 XP from voice activity in #voice-chat.


Manual XP Changes

Logs when XP is set manually using commands like /xp set.

  • Includes the executor, target, and action performed.

Example: Admin456 set User123's XP to 500.


XP Decay

Logs when XP Decay is triggered.

  • Includes:
    • Number of members decayed
    • Total XP decayed
    • A file with member IDs showing their before and after XP, listing the first 5,000 members

Example: XP Decay applied: 120 users lost 50 XP each.


XP Streaks

Provides insight into streak-based XP gains.

  • Logs the member's current streak and the bonus XP awarded for maintaining it.

Example: User123 has a 7-day streak and earned 15 bonus XP.


Settings

Logs whenever a Kiai setting is changed.

  • Includes the member who made the change and the new value.

Example: Admin456 changed "XP Cooldown" from 60s to 45s.


Errors

Logs Kiai system errors to a channel you choose.

  • Includes an Error ID (a unique alphanumeric string) and a description, so support staff can diagnose and resolve issues quickly.

Example: Kiai Error ID ABC123xyz: Failed to calculate XP for User123 in #general.


Make All Interactions Ephemeral

When enabled, every reply Kiai sends is visible only to the member who ran the command.
